Forgive me if this thread was intended for your sorority only, but the posts have reminded me of some of the "outrageous moments" my LGLO chapter has seen during recruitment. (We don't have rush, but we have mandatory informational events.) Anyway, one time, a young lady sat in the VERY back of an informational and just kicked her heels up on the desk in front of her, and was tipping her head back popping bubble gum (I talking BIG bubbles) the entire time. I was trying not to draw attention to her because I think that is what she wanted, so we just continued on with our talk. But then she was like "look, if you are not going to tell us what you do in your process, there is no point to me staying here."
Another time, there was an interested woman who was "CEO" of her own "party crew." She was known all over campus and the area for being a party promoter and just generally not being respectful of women (basically she would exploit her friends at the parties and on the party fliers, etc.). Well, she came to a mandatory event, and in the middle of it, she raised her hand and said, "You know, I think that I can make this organization so much better and make it into something worthwhile."

(We are the first LGLO of any kind to be founded on the west coast). Needless to say, she did not go into the membership process.
Yet another time, we were at a fraternity party and we were hanging out at the bottom of the stairs with some non-members, just chatting with them. Low and behold, one of the women who had previously shown up to a mandatory event and made a really great impression literally fell down the stairs because she was drunk. She landed at our feet and yelled, "oh hey, you are my future sisters! I LOVE YOU!"

We helped her get back to her dorm safely, but she never did pursue my organization. In fact, she was so embarrased every time she saw us on campus.
Don't get me wrong, we attract LOTS of great women, but sometimes you get a couple of odd-balls!
