(7/18/03, 3 p.m. ET) -- Rapper Styles, one-third of the Lox, will be released from prison on August 4, after 10 months of incarceration. Styles was convicted of assault for allegedly stabbing a man in his backside. **LMAO**
Prior to heading behind bars, the rapper shared his sentiments with New York's Daily News, saying, "Who wants to go to jail? Jail sucks, you get treated like an animal. I'll catch up on my reading, get in better physical shape, get some rest."
Styles released his certified-gold solo debut, A Gangster And A Gentleman, in 2002.
Upon release, the rapper will aid his group mate Sheek Louch with the promotional efforts for Louch's forthcoming solo set, Walk With Me, which will be released on September 9. In addition, Styles will be putting the finishing touches on a new Lox album.
