Having an alumnae chapter nearby is very important, of course! After all, I'd be an ALUMNAE initiate! It's not good enough for there to just be a couple of alum members around...I wanted there to be an actual chapter with activities. Oddly enough, the group I am working with, "sorority #2", only seems to have one chapter in my area and it's one which has received awards from the national HQ for being an outstanding alumnae association.
With that said, it was also important for me to be near a collegiate chapter as well. As a student affairs professional, I know I have a lot to offer the collegiate members. So, it's a mix of both, really.
