Buuuuut, since the lamp is yellow gold it will stand out more so everyone can see how smart you are!
IF I ever get a Lamp, I'll have the same situation, since everything badge related is white gold.
Out of curiosoty, what does your mom's badge look like? One of my sisters was pinned at initiation with her grandmother's pin, which was yellow gold and crown pearl. It seemed thicker and heavier than ours and was just gorgeous! I think it's from the late 1930's!
