Well, I think it depends on the chapter. If you don't have this happening a lot, you're probably not going to blink an eyelash - you'll just figure she transferred for normal reasons (major change, further/closer to home, $$$) and welcome her. But if you are a school like Auburn, where it's a social must not just to be in a sorority but the RIGHT sorority, and this happens often, you are probably going to give everyone a more serious once-over even if their reasons are legit. One thing I have learned in my life is that popular people really resent being used by someone climbing the social ladder...as well they should. If you transfer to a school like that with legit reasons, just realize this will happen & don't take it personally.
