Let me start a list of How Come's from back in the day.
How come I woke up early every Saturday morning to watch cartoons? (Teen Wolf, Galaxy High, Scooby Doo, The Littles, Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show)
How come I had to have cereal with my cartoons? (it was proper protocal)
How come I watched Tarzan and the Lone Ranger faithfully at noon on Saturdays?
How come Smokey the Bear would tell me only I could prevent forest fires?
How come we don't see Smokey anymore?
How come I still have my old toys?
How come I recently gave my little niece my easy bake oven and got mad when she didn't appreciate it?
How come I never got a Snoopy Snow Cone Machine because I forgot to ask Santa every year?
How come I still have my Light Bright, Hungry Hungry Hippo, PacMan, Family Feud and I'm not giving it to my little niece.
How come back in the day you better not say a bad word about Michael Jackson?
How come I don't care now?
How come I didn't realize Prince was truly the bomb until I got older?
How come BET was the bomb when we were little? (I was born in 75)
How come it's trash now with the exception of a few shows?
How come when you went to the movies and saw The Color Purple, you came back to school trying to recite the lines? You told Harpo to beat me.
How come my neighbors got mad at me because I had the skates with the plastic wheels and they had the metal
How come fire would form under the skates?
How come The double dutch bus was the jam?
How come a few years ago I found out Ray Charles did some of the soundtracks for School House Rock?
How come I'm late about that piece of information but I know some of you didn't know either?
How come I still have the first Nintendo ever made?
How come it's collecting dust on top of my tv right this day?
How come if I keep this Nintendo and have children, they will laugh at me for having such an out of date piece of trash?
How come I'm keeping it anyway for sake of nostalgia?
How come I love this topic?
I would like thank you all for taking me back down memory lane. It's something that no matter where we live, we have some of the same childhood memories. We are adults now but we can still laugh about the memories....thanks.
