I think that JAM is right. Men and women need to dress appropriate to the occassion. It's amazing what some people think passes as dressed up. Some guys think that this means clean jeans, a clean t-shirt, and clean sneakers. Men know that it means a suit or at least a jacket and tie. I think that it is better to overdress slightly than underdress.
