Both of the alum chapters in SC are 2 hours away.
I've talked to both and they don't know of anyone in my area. Actually, USC asked AOII to submit stuff to charter at USC because they're looking for a new NPC group. Nationals told me they turned it down because there aren't enough alums in SC, so they chose to charter at Miss State instead. However, this makes little sense to me....there will NEVER be an alum base here if there are no chapters in the state.
