1886-First women's fraternity in America to build and occupy its own chapter house located at Syracuse University.
1894-The first women's fraternity to use traveling delegates, now known as Educational Leadership Consultants (ELC's) and Regional Managers.
1902-Called the first intersorority meeting with Pi Beta Phi, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Gamma, Gamma Phi Beta, and Tri-Delt; known today's National Panhellenic Conference (NPC)
1905-First statue of a woman in Statuary Hall in the rotunda of the U.S. Capitol was of Frances E. Willard
1957-Alpha Phi Foundation established, a first for women's fraternities
1988-Introduced the first risk management education to collegians.
I also believe that Alpha Phi MAY have had the first depledge.
Alpha Phi also has 22 (I believe) chapters in California, I'm not sure if that makes us the most chapters in a state or not.
