And then you know you'd be unique! My mom used to make me gorgeous dresses before she stopped sewing - I'm secretly hoping she'll start again because I'm broke.
You could make the dress in a really gorgeous fabric or your favorite color to help yourself stand out - I remember in one post on here, a Kappa was talking about how she saw a girl at pref wearing a bright pink scarf and it made her stand out. I think color would look nice in the sea of black! When I preffed all the other PNMs were wearing either all black or something really casual, and I felt special in my black skirt and pink top.
