I just joined this past spring, the second semester of my 4th year (out of 5...). Before this year, I had absolutely no interest in joining a sorority, but meeting my sisters convinced me otherwise.
I think that the only thing I feel that I have missed is formal recruitment because I never went through it. I'll get to experience it this fall though, but never from the PNM point of view.
I was an Alpha for about a month and a half. I was initiated all by myself, which was an incredible experience. I was completely nervous and had noone else to share my worries, but I think that being the only one really added to how special and meaningful it was for me.
