The $5000 figure is for living in the house -- I'm guessing that it includes room, board, and dues (at least room and board). Put that way, it's not that expensive. Even though dues are on the expensive end here, they're not too bad once you're living in -- it's actually cheaper to live in the house than it is to live in the dorms, not counting dues, and if you take dues into account it's only a little more expensive.
