I'm rereading the series as well and I don't think that could be possible. I think the comparison stemmed from the fact that when Voldemort tried to kill Harry, he transferred some of himself into Harry (ie the Parselmouth). DUmbledore said so as well. Also, I was thinking about this and Tom Riddle had to be several years before Harry's parents. In CoS, it was opened 50 years earlier and I don't think Harry's parents were that old.

I have to agree with Rowling though on Snape. He does appear to have so much more to him than what everyone is "seeing". There definitely has to be a better side to him. I'm thinking that maybe the meanness is a front because of his past and he would be reported back too Voldemort if he was somehow nice to Harry and his friends.

On another note, I hate waiting! I wish the next book was already out!!!!
