When my son was a baby and he had a fever, my mother-in-law would gather a specific type of tea leaves, put them in a warm bath and bathe my son. She said these type of leaves were used to "draw out" the fever. She did the same thing to my husband when he was a baby. He would even pretend to be sick just so that he could have a "bush bath". I thought it was strange, but it worked. My son loved it and always fell asleep right after his bath.

Another thing I learned here is using fresh aloe. It is used for everything here. Even as a tea for tummy aches (I think). I've heard that it is very bitter, though. My grandmother always had an aloe plant in our house (NYC) and used it for everything too. Back then, I thought it was just a Puerto Rican/Old Wives Tale thing.
