Just went over there and did a little "light" reading. . . you're right! Feathers are good and ruffled! And there's so much that I want to say to those "attaboy, Strom!" comments over in Chit Chat. There are so many things that they haven't seen, but things that I've had experience with such as seing my grandparents belittled and saying "yes'm", and "naw suh" to whites of whom they were old enough to be their grandparents, and having to purchase stuff "on time" and other things that I've been exposed to being raised in the rural south - but here's probably the safest response that I have. . .
It's a Black thing. . . they don't understand.
