- And in all actually I think that’s doing that it did serve that purpose just alil bit. Because as a freshman I came in to the Greek word blind!!! When I first started my process I made so many lil mistakes like being on the internet chatting it up with alpha and angels while I was on and if I was to that while I was pledging delta that’s would of been my ass. And the funny thing about it is I though it was on cause I wasn’t talking 2 them on the phone or direct. So I was just some lil thing that I learned that I would not have known that will now save my ass when I go on for delta.
- I also think being in an auxiliary opens your eyes about what Greek life is really about. Although we are not Greek we have the change to see what actually goes on in the Greek system being that we work hand and hand with the Alphas. Speaking for my self an Alpha Angel has experience allowed me to get close to other Greeks and see what definite each Greek from another and I will always cherish this experience because with out it I would still think Greek life is about who can step and party walk the best. Being in an auxiliary showed me that what Greek life is about which is who can make the biggest helpful, learning, beneficial difference in the world while holding up a strong sister and brotherhood. And From All My Studies and Observation I Have Found Delta 2 Be That Noble Bold Honoring Change Making Sorority Which I Would Love to Be Apart

I am glad that your experience in your auxillary was a pleasant one,.....BUT from my understanding there is NO such thing as an Alpha Angel, LGB(ladies of black and gold) or the likes since the early nineties. They only have the Alpha Wives which is in no way apart of the official organ of APHIA. This group is an acknowledgment, by the men of APHIA, that their wives are the supporters of their men and that they happen to be married to a man of APHIA. Although, some cities do have an AW Club and are incorporated bodies, they recieve no "real" financial support from the nationals nor are they involved in the voting processes involving APHIA, nor can they attend any meetings of APHIA,etc.
From my understanding those organizations, like the one you mentioned, is NOT officially recognized by the men of APHIA.
I am saying this to you because as SF we must be careful about the orgs. we join because they can be viewed by various greeks (esp. in the D9) as you are trying to be a wanna-be. if you are meant to be a member of a said org. your time will come if it is meant for you. My advice to you is to be careful! Eyes and ears from Philly are watching you!
Sidebar: I think this is where we fail our college freshmen/high school seniors in the orientation process of college life. Oftentimes, they are not given the real low-down on the ins and outs of the school esp. if they are interested in becoming greek. Not to say that they should not do their research but I think that they guidance process is weak ( not just in reference to becoming greek but majors and careers as well).
