While Greek organizations are very beneficial, attaining membership should NOT take precedence over your education and it CERTAINLY should not lead you to lie or falsify information for whatever reason.

I am not Greek, but when I was trying to decide whether I was going to attempt to become a member of an organization, the first question I asked myself is WHY? I think you need to do the same. It sounds to me like you are interested in joining because you are looking for an identity and place to belong. If this is the case, you might want to spend less time obsessing over the nuances of AKA and DST and more time finding out who you are.

I agree Librasoul but at the same time- I commend her for being honest at least once. Who knows how many people are telling the truth/ or a lie on these forums. Personally, I do not care- as long as the person is not a Perp! It appears to me that she has reflected on her decision to lie and has decided to come clean. Hoepfully this will be a learning expereince for her. Moreover, I hope she will truly reflect on her reasons for wanting to be greek. Sadly, some people just want to be greek...... I know some of those people personally (both greeks and nongreeks). I hope Innocence reads the words of advice given to her by her sisterfriends/memberfriends... If I may use the word friend .

Innocence- I wish you good luck and I hope you will reflect on your reasons for wanting to be greek. It is a HUGE committment.
