First off, I just wanted to say that I think this is the best rush thread that I have read, simply because it's about time that we have seen kind of behind the scenes of a guy's rush that doesn't usually get presented on GreekChat!
As for the kid who is torn between the two houses, I think leaving him alone would do more harm than good. If you think he is truly "Beta material" as you've said, more contact without overdoing it will just strengthen the standpoint of your house as well as letting the rushee know that he is top material and cream of the crop.
