I think we should teach our children about what happened on this day and make sure the media focuses some attention on it...I haven't heard anything about today being the anniversary of his assisination, other than from a soror in an email message.

Personally, I guess I always reflect more on him on his birthday in May, the same way I do with MLK. It seems more fitting to celebrate their births than deaths, though their deaths are important for the lessons they teach about human goodness and evil.
