Hmmm. I could understand if he's been neighborly before (stopping by to introduce himself/family and say "hi", being friendly, etc. ) and THEN later on asking her. But from the information given, I don't think he has.

However, I probably would consider having the lawn guy start @ 8am instead of 7am., but that's it. Any other times would get a quick no.

I do think that is in bad taste if the neighbor (who works third shift) probably hasn't shown his face to welcome your friend into the neighborhood BEFORE asking her to do something.
