I prefer running over the elliptical machine. However, when I hop on the elliptical machine, I "peddle" forward for half of the time with a strong resistance and then I "peddle" backwards with a lower resistance for the same amount of time. I can definately feel a difference in my body the next day! Plus, I tone my hamstrings and butt!
