Clearly you all don't know the standard time it takes for a writer to

A. Find an agent -- weeks
B. Have said agent want to read your manuscript -- avg. 2 months
C. Find a publisher to read your manuscript -- avg. 2 months
D. PUBLISH book -- average of 9 months - 2 years


I learned all of this last weekend reading 2003 Writer's Market.

I did not even mention editing process. It took Terry McMillan about 4 months to edit Disappearing Acts. I edited last weekend. LadyGreek is doing it now. My line sister has an editing company.

So trust me when I tell you. . . I will have 2 or 3 other books written before the first one hits a shelf. But it is all done in God's time and not my own. I could still be sitting here not even having written one word.
