I used to work for a bridal shop and just a few pointers:

-When you order your dresses, make sure you order them all at the same time!!! Otherwise the dye lots will be different and there could be slight discrepencies in the color.

-Don't forget that it's eaiser to take a dress in than let it out. If you're worried about that, the nicer designers will have more fabric on their seams to allow for better altering. You can check on any sample dress, just look on the inside at the seam and check how much extra fabric they leave after the stitch line.

-Along with every toiletry you can imagine, bring a needle and thread (matching the dress of course), you never know when something will snag. Also, clear nail polish and/or extra hose.
