No, I'm sure that I could not have done a better job. If I were in their shoes, I would have found someone who could. Being a great homicide detective (as most of them were) and being able to catch a serial killer are two totally different things. ALso, there were plenty of things that they knew that the general public didn't. They have known for awhile that he was African-American and didn't release that info. because they didn't want him to feel they were on to him.

For the record, I don't feel that the task force is a complete failure and I never intended to give that impression. I tried to point that out in many of my earlier posts.

As for the Yoder family, I just can't let it go. Each of the known victims families had their own tf representative assigned to them that was supposed to keep them up to date. This was at least HOURS (maybe even a day, I don't remember) after Lee had been caught and no word from the tf. The same with all of the other families. For a tf that is committed to the victims and their families, I think they owe them the common courtesy of a personal phone call and not hearing about it from the media. Because like you said, the media isn't always right and the last thing the families of the victims need is to be let down any more.
