Back to the original post, keep in mind everyone's greek experience during their undergrads days were different. If you're a part of a very small greek school, chances are you've experienced a lot more backlash from being greek and have learned to be less 'presentive' of your GLO affliation. Also, i've seen recent chapter alums disagreeing with the direction taken by the newer classes.
Sometimes there's a falling-out between alums and hq, which leads to less interest in the fraternity/sorority. Unfortunately, things like this happen...
