I did our local Junior Miss when I was in high school...does that count? I was a favorite among the coaches, but I didn't win jack squat. Why? Who knows. Everyone was surprised, but I thought I sucked anyway.
Actually, I think it was because there's some kind of rule that says you have to compete in the pageant your home county holds, and I didn't--I competed in the next county because that's where I went to school. Oh, well...it was fun anyway!
