I am an only child, in addition to being the only person my age in my extended family (my closest cousins are ten years younger!)

I guess. I can't imagine it being any other way, so I can't say.
Were you lonely?
At times, but like most only children, I was also really good at occupying myself. I went through a phase where I really wanted a brother or a sister, but eventually I got over it.
Were you spoiled?
I hate this question. What does "spoiled" mean?? Was a disciplined when I did wrong? Yes. Were my parents strict? Oh yes. Did I get everything I wanted? Heck no. Did I get a lot of stuff, compared to
some of my friends? Yes.
How did you adjust in the real world (dorms, roomates, lodging when out of town)?
Not a problem at all...in fact, I've been known to go overboard with generosity
I do cherish my alone time, though.
