Hopefully FSU doesn't experience what OU did in the 90's. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. However, there are a lot of parallels...
Bowden and Switzer were both very successful in their times. However, in both cases the players are being charged right and left with criminal behavior.
In Switzer's case he was fired and the program went on a few years in mediocrity and then slipped into an abyss under Howard Schnellenberger (only lasted 1 year) and John Blake.
That lasted from the early 90's until '99 when the Stoopses came to town.
I don't think it'll go that far, but if it does, don't look to emerge anytime in the near future.
