My name is Aimée - pronounced A-may - its French for Amy.
There's not much you can do with it, so I never had any nicknames. My family always called me MayMay when I was little -and my younger cousins still call me that - its just easier for them to say - but I never used it amongst my friends
It REALLY REALLY bugs me when people say my name as AHH-may. It's got a LONG A sound - its really not that hard, but people have the worst time with it.
