I definately believe in love at first sight.
When I was 13 years old, I was participating in a poetry/prose competition. At the awards presentiation, I noticed this skinny, dark-skinned, big head, little boy. Immediately I felt some connection. He looked at me and gave me a shy smile, and then he was gone. I thought I would never see him again. I didn't even know his name but I thought about him often.
I started high school the next year and to my surprise there he was. I didn't know what to do. I was just standing there in awe when he came up to me and said he remembered me from the speech competition and that he often thought about me after that.
We became the best of friends until our junior year when we made it ofical that we were a couple. The relationship lasted 6 years after that, but the love and emotions that I felt for him the first time I saw him have never diminished.
I know we are soul-mates, but that doesn't necessarily mean we should be together.
