Does anyone remember Nannygate? I barely remember it myself but it had something to do with a Clinton cabinet nominee who had some dealings with a nanny who was an illegal immigrant. The Republicans went after her with vigor. This is just a simple case of "you reap what you sow". When the Republicans attack a Democratic cabinet nominee, it's for the good of the country. When the action is turned around on them, they cry bloody murder. Living in DC does not make watching it all over the news any better. Maybe she did have good intentions. But the fact remains that she did have this woman working for her. It's all about revenge. The Democrats will be searching for things to attack every one of Bush's nominees. He already has a gay bashing, anti-abortion throw back from 1950 for attorney general. Roe v. Wade and Affirmative action, look out. It's going to be a bumpy ride for the next four years.
Maybe then we'll come to our senses and elect an intellectual instead of appointing an idiot.
