I know. I thought he just
had to be lying, so I told him to prove it. So, he pulled up his shirt, and sure enough, no belly button. I don't want to get all gross, so the short version is that surgical procedures at birth caused him to not have a belly button. Oddly enough, there was no scar, either.
A story to go with my innie... I was born with a hernia. The doctor taped a silver dollar over my belly button so I wouldn't have an outie. Or, at least that's one of the many stories I've heard every year on my birthday.
