Why is it that we will give other folks a million and one chances when they disappoint us, but when it come to BLACK folks that get one chance and we say stuff like "I'll never go to another black person to do XYZ again." How many of us have gone into a major department store (which, 99 times out of 100 is owned by someone white) and gotten poor service? How many times have we then said I am not going to shop at stores owned by white people again? When THEY mess up it is the doctor or sales clerk or waiter that had a problem. When WE mess up it is black stores this, and black lawyers/doctors that! What a pitiful form of self hatred!! And we wonder why "we" don't have anything.
Did you say anything about the poor performance? Did you let your expectations be known to the owner of the salon? Do you REALLY think that all black folks are alike and that since one person gave you poor service they ALL will give you poor service? Come on now!
