I don't know the answer for this one.
I do agree with PositivelyAKA that you should do what you want to do, but discussing it with your mother is not such a bad idea. Even though she may be against it, she may tell you to invite them because she recognizes that it is your day. You may not have a sisterly bond/relationship with them right now, but you don't know what the future could bring.
