I know it's hard but as KappaKittyCat said they must view you as a threat if they are bad mouthing you so take it as a backwards compliment. And like White Chocolate said Karma will come back on them at some point.

There is something that my Division Collegiate President has told us and I think this is so true "Bigger isn't better but better leads to bigger". Just concentrate on being the best sorority around and women will see that and want to join you. Remember each sister joining as at least one friend they think would be a great sister make sure that they talk up the sorority to them, if they don't want to hassle with formal rush maybe you can get them at COB. If each of your sisters invited at least one friend to join then you would double your chapter size.

If your chapter can afford it and you're allowed to do so you might take out a big ad in the school paper and list all the things you do (fun, philanthropic, awards you've won, etc).
