I think your first hurdle is that you are eligible to rush. I know most schools have a min. gpa requirement just to sign up. And yes, it is verified by the school in most cases. I know my school you had to have at least a 2.5 average and 12 or more credit hours. From then on, each sorority had its own gpa requirement.
