Will I automatically be a sister at the new school? if they don't have a chapter, what can I do. If there is a chapter will i have to re-rush? I am just curious about this, because this will probably have a big impact on my future. Thanks for the wisdom!!

As a transfer to another school where there is an ADPi chapter, you may opt to either go alum, or you may affiliate with that chapter. The chapter must vote to accept you as a transfer, and both your current chapter and your transfer chapter must send in paperwork to Executive Office. Once all of the paperwork is settled, you are a full delta member at this university, with all the rights of delta membership. An alpha member may not transfer membership.

If there is no ADPi chapter at the school you are transferring to, you automatically receive alumna status.

You've already heard about MTSU's chapter-- they sound great! All of the Florida chapters are very strong, too. Iota chapter at FSU has won Sorority of the Year every year since the award began (5 years in a row). If you opt not to affiliate, I recommend you go through the Jewel Degree ceremony and get involved with alumnae association life to help you get acclimated and make friends in your new town. ADPi is great to help you get settled in a new place!

PM me if you have any questions.
