This may be a little off the subject, but as I looked a BET for the first time in a while, I was reminded how old I am.
I mean, what audience are they seeking with this programming? All the videos show nothing more than brothers trying to be thugs, scantly clad women (scratch that one, that's ok with me), brothers talking about what they got, and crap like that. Now I am not going to piss on anyone's parade, but I saw a video by Master P where the song is about nothing but Hummers BMW's and cash. That's the basis of the song, nothing more than that.
I long for the days of Tribe, BDP, PE you know, rappers who talked about something.
N4L, I might need your help rolling me into the old folks home tomorrow bra, because I have come to the conclusion that I am old. The same things that my parents use to say to me about my music, I am saying about this crap, I mean music that they are making today. No one is original, except for a few artists. If it wasn't for Musiq, Jill Scott, and folks like that, I probably wouldn't even buy R & B.

Plus that show that comes on during the late afternoon, with the guy and the girl. He is really tall with the braids, and looks rather korny on the show. He is really trying to be down, and doing a very bad job of it.
Ok, I have ranted enough. I will stick with the BET on Jazz. That's the one redeeming fact I can say about BET.
