Ummm, Nupe4Life, to whom are you referring when you say "don't go there with remarks about my race"? I assume you're talking about the guy you saw on TV, but I'm just checking. Aren't black people "his" race too? That's the beauty (and curse) of free speech. This man (and others) can say things you don't agree with, "air our dirty laundry" if you will, and that's part and parcel of being a free people. We can't control others behavior, and to me, his remarks are less damaging than the things I see going on around me in my neighborhood, done TO black people BY OTHER BLACK PEOPLE.

DoggyStyle82: I'm feeling you about the "dissenting voices" in black America and questioning who is funding them. But I ask that same question of our "leaders," and every time I look, it seems that the same entity is funding them too (the enemy, as
you stated). I think that is the height of hypocrisy.

We are not supporting, with our dollars, our visionaries (do we have any? or is everyone out to get face time on TV and/or make money?), our institutions or our businesses, yet we always point the finger of blame outward. As an observer of human nature, it seems to me that only interested parties would support the causes/institutions important to their survival and prosperity. To ask uninterested parties to do so seems to go against the laws of human behavior (looking out for number 1, etc.).
