And now my interest in this organization is always the topic of conversation and I don't want everyone to know. My question is: how do i let them know that I don't want to talk about my interest-without being rude? The reason that I am starting to get angry is because my brother said to an AKA at my school, "My sister is GOING to be an AKA." Does anyone think that this will hurt my chances even though I EXCEED the minumum requirements?
My family almost did the same thing. Don't be angry with them tho8ugh. They probably don't know any better. We were once ingnorant too until we did research! Just sit down with them and tell them what you've learned about the do's and don'ts and explain why their behavior may put your chances in danger.

Once I had that talk with my peeps, they don't say anything about it outside of the house. They're very supportive and realize it's something I want badly. They wouldn't want to do any thing to harm that.
