I agree, although either has the potential to turn ugly. It would have been pretty embarassing if the soccer team had been caught by the media or something in their "shaving cream bikinis," in their upscale suburb.
Which is the problem with any hazing at all. It starts out as something fairly simple and harmless and then builds. I suspect that's the reason that the hazing laws are so vague and open to interpretation. It's the old, "give 'em an inch and they'll take a mile," cliche.
As for AlphaFrog's comment about including the sorority mention -- it may not be "fair," but if the Greek System weren't a big offender, the mention wouldn't have been made at all. We have to get past that, and the only way to do it is by eliminating hazing entirely.
