When I got my Chinese character tattoo, I tried to find the symbol online but couldn't find it anywhere. Looking back, that's probably a good thing, because like AOX81 says, you really don't know how reliable those things are. I ended up calling a guy from the Chinatown chamber of commerce, who put me in touch with another guy who does calligraphy, and he wrote the character out for me a few different times, and then I picked the one that I liked and the EXACT copy of it is now on my arm.

That being said, I would be willing to bet that most tattoo places have the Chinese and Japanese symbols for honor, beauty and truth, since those are probably all relatively popular words.

BTW, I think that is an *awesome* idea for a tattoo!
