For those that didn't watch last season its hard to explain - when Tamyra, Kellye or even Justin come on now and sing one song its not the same as watching them compete and sing the various songs on a weekly basis. The show was new and the three of them kept it consistent every week no matter what "theme" was thrown at them. I was upset my girl didn't win but in all honesty Kellye was good and it worked out for the best (Tamyra would not have been on Boston Public is she was doing the AI tour and movie).
However, I don't vote for Ruben to make up for Tamyra - I vote for Ruben because I like him as a singer and he's a good performer. Yeah - there are better singers in my church choir but they are not competing - gotta vote between who's on stage and barring a complete meltdown - Ruben is my man.
(BTW Ryan did call out K-Lo - his saying Ruuuuuben did not affect the voting-I think he was clarifying what the audience was saying because initially many thought Ruben was being booed.)
