Just because you don't agree with him doesn't make him crazy.
Although I may not have agreed with the way he chose to use the Academy Award win as his soapbox during a sensitive time, his films are special pieces of work that many Americans would have benefitted from seeing, without dismissing him in a very close-minded way. "Roger and Me" deals with the fallout after the closing of the GM plants--essentially, he deals with the problems facing the working man.
