I don't know how the filming for Jeopardy is but here is my experience:
I was on the Weakest Link game show and won it a few months ago. It was really high stress because the lights are on you and there are a bunch of unemployed actors that get paid to sit in the audience and talk trash about you. It wasn't completely based on knowledge because the strategy involved making sure people don't vote you off and you vote the right ones off, etc.
I don't know your wealth of knowledge. I devour anything where I feel like I'm learning (PBS documentaries, books, magazines, newspapers) and spend around 3 hours a day looking up stuff outside of classes. Because of that I didn't really prepare. If you're not as big of a nerd as me, I guess I'd read some sort of comprehensive history book and look through a bunch of magazines (Time might not be a bad choice). I hear some people try to memorize almanacs. I don't know. Also, the foreign service exam had some similar questions (much easier) so check out some practice books for that if you can.
But I think most of it is based on confidence. Remind yourself that everyone else on the show is a worthless piece of shit and you're there to take them down. Seriously, after the show a couple of the girls were trying to hang out with me and I still couldn't seperate myself from that thought.
