Yeah, I can agree with what was written in the article. I think I am going to go back and watch Spanish telenovelas. I really don't know what everyone is saying, but it is alot more entertaining and everyone on the novela looks good. One novela is 'Protagonistas de Novela'. Its about a bunch of 20-somethings living in a house a la' Big Brother and they are competing for a spot on an upcomming novela. Since I have no direct ties to the Spanish community watching these shows is a lot less stressful.

I remember reading about a Big Brother-esque TV show in Mexico in the Wall Street Journal. One of the themes that came up was that there was no drama because of the fact that poor Mexicans were very deferential and wouldn't challenge richer ones when they were acting up.
