I probably shouldn't open my big mouth about this topic, but I'm curious........
I'm sure you all know that I'm only a Sisterfriend, so I couldn't possibly understand the true depth of your respective BGLOs. I've always been curious if there was a white person interested in a BGLO because their choices of Greek orgs were limited to only those that displayed no true sisterhood or brotherhood, only wanted to throw wild parties, and rarely did anything for the community, would they be turned away?
I by no means mean any disrespect, but I've been wanting to know that for a while. After a group of Delta Sigma Theta members passed,I had a white co-worker actually tell me that Black Greeks really have a true and serious mission from what she could see and she really wished that she could be a part of that. She also mentioned that she felt that BGLOs seemed to be like a close knit family.
I haven't read the Ebony article yet, but as soon as the issue arrives, I'll be sure to take a look
