Peter went after the ER trauma fellowship which Elizabeth was depending on to keep her visa. Romano was pissed because he had offered Peter a thorasic fellowship but after some issue with a patient Peter decided he didn't want to do the specialty anymore. Romano turned around and created a position making Elizabeth his 2nd in command (now making her Peter's boss) and that led to other tension....[that's the short version..but you can tell already I've spent way too much time watching this show that I can fill in holes from 4 years ago

I think these are excellent examples of white writers not really knowing what to do with us. They can't imagine us being loving people, so they either make us hyper sexual or asexual. It sad.
