I would personally call the police and register the problem with the police, not to mention the Better Business Bureau. You didn't mention if they were part of a chain or a "family" business. If they are part of a chain, I would call the next closest one and see what they can tell you.
I don't blame ya, I would be fuming myself! Talk about burning up some phone lines right now if it was me in your place!!!
