It is with great sorrow as well as joy that I write this brief message. I am a new member and soror of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority,Inc. I did my intake process Spring 2000 semester with one other younglady. Like most we looked for the organization/sisterhood that was most representative of us. I can honestly say that I thoroughly sought out and can proudly hold my head up to be a SGRHo.
My heart is heavy knowing that one of our beloved founders, sorors, and mentors has gone on. Her job though has been fulfilled and truly her legacy through Sigma Gamma Rho is recognized and realized. She was a triumphant individual and a beautiful woman full of strenghth and wisdom. I unfortunately did not have the opportunity to meet Soror Marbury but I have a deep love for her spirit and struggle. She indeed was a Legend. She will be grately missed.
